there should be a new branch (50% chance to replace crypt) called the bone zone. in the bone zone all the monsters are skeletons and you also turn into a skeleton when you enter it (you turn back when you leave). you can get the bone rune on level 5, but beware, it's guarded by the skeleton king, who wields a bow and arrow, except he shoots bones instead of arrows

And I assume undead turn into something like meat golems (with a bone in the middle still). You could have flesh eating bacteria for those, so it would be basically the holy wrath for reverted undead meat, which would give the branch a unique feel that's different from crypt.
