If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

Polymoths

Hmm, why didn't polymoths make it to stable a couple of years ago? They would seem like a fitting addition to the annoying family of moths.

Re: Polymoths

adding every wacky wack cack feature to crawl you can think of doesn't make crawl better. it's like making lasagne irl, you don't make good lasagne by layering noodles, meat, sauce, motor oil, silly string, cat hair, and legos, then taking a big steaming dump on it. just the noodles, meat, and sauce and maybe some cheese. (in this metaphor the noodles are square los and the sauce is tactical positioning, whereas the cat hair is the summoning school and the steaming dump is elemental wellsprings)

Sure. But I wonder why polymoths didn't make it to stable a couple of years ago. They would seem like a fitting addition to the annoying family of moths.

Re: Polymoths

You've called them annoying not once but twice and you're still wondering why they weren't added?

Re: Polymoths

I would guess the potential for ridiculous OOD situations was too high with them. Also they might encourage one to lead particularly nasty monsters one might want polymorphed to them... maybe. Also they're clearly spellcasters, and we all know how the devs feel about them!

Some new moth types:
moth of avoidance (phase shift + deflect missiles)
moth of cheating death (DDoor)
necromoth (necromutation)
moth of art (statue form)

The possibilities are endless!

Hey, the poop was cleaned off for awhile. Then someone else came and pooped on the lasagna again. Shit happens.
