Let Xom brand your weapon with chaos

For real, once per game, at teddy bear status. But of course, give him a chance to disenchant your weapon and become BORED instead.

He already has a chance to. It fires while he's switching your weapon with an opponent's...the opponent gets the chaos weapon. AND his gifts have a high chance of being chaos branded...

But his gifts are quite random unlike acquirement, right? So you're not very likely to get spear of chaos, say, if that's the chaos weapon you're seeking.

Xom sometimes brands enemy weapons with chaos. However, Xom no longer swaps weapons so you can't have it branded this way. Also, the branding was pretty rare anyway and independent of swaps.

I proposed same thing few years ago. Answer was: "This is active ability and any abilities are not suited for a total RNGod" or something like that

Well, he already delights when you do something crazy/chaotic on purpose. He should be receptive to the idea that you're trying to spice things up by adding {Chaos} to your weapon.

Xom doesn't care what you want or what you're trying to do. If the intention is to make more things chaos-branded under Xom, the way to do that would be to increase the odds of Xom chaos-branding things on a whim.

What if he temporarily brands your weapon with chaos, but you can make it permanent with Scroll of Brand Weapon? It's consistent with all the other ways Brand Weapon works!

FWIW brand weapon doesn't do that any more, there's nothing remaining that's temporary that can be made permanent via brand weapon (The remaining 'temporary' brandings are pain and distortion, neither of which has ever been able to be made permanent with a scroll)

Currently the only real oddity remianing with brand weapon that I can think of is the different random chances for melee/ranged weapons (and the fact that you can't brand blowguns)
