Suggestion: DgCK as a legal combo

Why can't Demigods worship Xom? It makes no sense!

Also, fingerless gloves for ghouls.

If they're as rare as bardings, why not? Trolls would still be restricted from wearing them.

Demigods would be overpowered if they were allowed to worship any god, even Xom. No, especially Xom.

redefine "worship" in this case as "you have permission to fuck with my life" and I think it works.

I have literally never played a dg in my life so it doesn't really matter to me though.

Not really. Imo Xom has negative survive value and thus makes your character less OP than if you worshipped no god. I don't see how this changes with demigods.

actually, Xom is much better than no god. maybe not if you are starting with him, but he is actually useful.

I would like to hear more about this. My limited experience with him suggests that he mostly randomly gets you killed, sooner or later.
Of course I feel that way about some other gods like Nemelex. Inevitably you'll draw from the deck of punishment while drawing from the deck of escape. Last time that happened I drew wrath as a mummy and got confused. Completely unavoidable death from full HP. :(

You really gotta draw from 3 or stack 5 those escape decks, if you're in an emergency. That's part of the reason Nemelex is a pain.

I nearly never get a nemelex punishment draw. Nemelex is one of my favorite gods. Single draw sooner in fights before you need to deal four.

probably because the only ways to get nemelex punishment draws are to be stupid with draw four, or get nemelex penance

oddity draws suck though (maybe you shouldn't draw blind from escape when you need to escape!)

punishment: damnation, torment, wrath, wraith, xom, famine, curse, swine
oddities: focus, helix, wrath, xom, feast, famine, curse

they certainly are very similar in effect (you don't want to draw from either one, and the majority of the time nothing of consequence happens other than wasting a turn) but they're different in more than name only
