If you pick a number between 1 and 10, multiply it by 9, and then add the digits together (18 = 1+8 = 9), the answer will always be 9.

Not true: 3 = tre, 5 = viisi/cinco, for example.

Do the digits in 9e add up to 9? Or 9Pi? 26/3 * 9?

In danish, 3 is 'tre' and 2 is 'to' and 4 is 'fire'.

there are only 38 known emperor penguin colonies, detectable by red guano streaks on satellite pictures, and which was found out by the first ornithological study that can confidently say it looked at the whole population of a species at once, previous predictions in the 90s estimated the number of colonies to be 32 (though at least 1 of these 32 has been lost due to the ice receding)

emperor penguins swallow stones (as ballast, and/or to help them digest hard food), finding these stones during dissections allowed researchers to predict the existence of antartica before it was ever seen

emperor penguins usually wait for 2-3 years following sexual maturity before breeding

el nino can wipe out ~70% of the galapagos penguin population when it occurs

A dozen, a gross, and a score,
plus three times the square root of four,
divided by seven,
plus five times eleven,
is nine squared and not a bit more.

( (12 + 144 + 20 + 3 Sqrt[4]) / 7 ) + 5*11 = 9^2 + 0

oh, yeah, this guy. I never knew he was called Mr Hands, though. in his case, the problem was the sudden insertion of a big long horse cock on his colon. the length, not the width.
