sorry if this has already been discussed, but what about a few gods for my favorite sports?
BASKETBALL
name: Nerdluck
altar: a basket
powers:

1. Kobe - projectile accuracy bonus
2. Lebron - power charge to your foe, causing daze and medium damage
3. ball is life - chance to shrug off any damage source proportional to (damage*piety/maxhp)*(1-1/(turns since last time the effect took place)

abandonment: enemys evading your attack has a chance to short-duration slow you (break players ankles)
likes: killing

WRESTLING
name: Hoss
altar: Championship Belt
powers:

1. str increase according to piety, str and dex increases the more consecutive turns spent MELEEING an enemy
2. grapple: enemy can no longer flee unless it passes a check, d20 + HD vs d20 + player clinch stat
3. chokeslam, large piety cost, causes daze and asphyx status. insane single target damage
4. signature move, at 5* the player is given the option to select a permanent finisher from a list of badass moves. Include Power Moves, moves from Lucha Libre, cheap shots (dirty fighting), flashy pyrotechnics

abandonment: 3 turn paralysis/sleep results in death, unique, XL appropriate monsters will occasionally challenge the player. Sometimes get shafted (^@%# montreal screwjob)

PARKOUR

powers:

1. evasion bonus increases with move_speed*piety
2. wall run- activated ability - move faster + bigger ev bonus while adjacent to a wall, ends when player moves away from a wall, and can lead in to
3. wall flip, leap up to piety/25 tiles from the wall you are running on, if you land next to a monster, gain an immediate attack of opportunity and
4. wall flip 2, trigger a spell to be automatically shot when a wall flip is performed taking no in game time (similar to DFball)
5. power climb--similar to the high piety costing escape abilities (enter abyss, sanctuary) this invocation will shaft the player upwards onto a random tile on the floor above, cannot be used on the top level of a branch

abandonment: slower movement until wrath is over, stealth malus, summons spriggans to kill you
