That said, I don't think spamming the only tavern board that currently isn't spammy is a good idea.

Not spamming, just adding more challenges to a board that's almost exclusively used for Sudden Death and tourneys, and thereby diversifying a very specific board.

Adding more unique and diverse challenges to a very specialised board, and increasing interest and participation in Dart Board challenges.

Well, it could be an interesting challenge to win a character with highest level in "worst aptitude" skill. For instance, for Og it means your highest skill should be Short Blades (aptitude -4). For some characters (Hu, Ds) it is not really a challenge

I remember posting "the Generalist", "Makhbat" and "Agnes" awhile back

• Agnes = SpGl (Quarterstaff) You are NOT allowed to use a non-staff weapon. Ranged is allowed, but you have to be a primarily melee character.
• The Generalist = Turn on Fighting and Spellcasting. Turn off everything else. You cannot train Weapons, Dodging or Armour until Fighting is Level 27. You cannot train any spellschools until Spellcasting is Level 27.You can never turn either of these skills off. Stealth, Invo and Evo are allowed. Farthest I made trying this was an OgWz, which died to a Hellephant in the Abyss with 2 runes.
• Makhbat = You are a vampire bat. [VpMo take bat form as soon as you can; don't ever turn back. Win the game. Name Makhbat is because; the only viable god is Makhleb.]

Ru challenge: join Ru as soon as possible, and always take the biggest sacrifice offered. Must leave and rejoin Ru immediately when piety is full, and repeat.

Ok, let's change it a little. Now you cannot learn any spells, you cannot unwield the weapon, you can attack with the weapon only 300 times for the whole game. You are welcome to throw tomahawks and stones of course.

Actually it's pretty hard for much of early game (because of the -3 Staves apt. mostly). It practically forces you to go Ashenzari to get the skill up fast enough.

Mu with Great Mace (min delay at 20 instead of 14 for Quaterstaff) is not that bad. Sp can pick fights so it should be even easier IMHO

Are QazBats possible? I don't think Qaz was in when the Mahkbat challenge started, and I thought the reason you had to go Mahk was so you could summon demons to open doors for you, the second reason being it was the only way to actually damage stuff.

Of course, a QazBat would need to kill stuff mainly with clouds, since the invocations cost piety, so I don't know how you actually get enough piety to have decent amounts of clouds... but it sounds semi-possible-ish

octopodes are fun! spriggans just never get in a pickle, and, if you did not fall in a very very dumb situation with lots of ranged enemies nearby, you can always flee. Op is hard.
