Is this a bug ?

It's a Depths vault where you have to kill Skeletons so it opens the next door. Killed one on the previous level : it doesn't open the door... Is it intended ?

He walked into a tele trap, I had not killed him yet.

Still, I wonder, what happens if you kill the monster on another level ?

If you had killed it on another level then the door wouldn't have opened, yeah. The bug is about to celebrate its 5-year anniversary in fact, good reminder to remove that vault I guess!
