0.8 Tournament!

The 0.8 Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup Tournament is almost upon us! Do you have what it takes? If you're a casual player, or trying to prove you're the best in the world, this is the tournament for you! Featuring competitions and pennants, team spirit and individual brilliance, this is the crawl event you should not miss!

Rules are at http://crawl11.dyndns.org/ and the tournament will be held from 00:00 Saturday 14 May to 00:00 Monday 30 May. Get up to six people together to compete for clan prizes, and show off your skill where everyone can see!

The tournament will be held on the CAO and CDO online servers http://crawl.akrasiac.org/ and http://crawl.develz.org/ and for the first time features both console (as in the past) and tiles at https://tiles.crawl.develz.org (you will need to do some setup first via console but this is easy enough).

Probably the page is currently just using data from the last month or so to test that all the scoring scripts and such work (if that's what you're confused about).

should clan updates be reflected immediately? by immediately i mean, say, after joining one and starting a game.

The clan listing on the tournament page says it is updated every four hours.

Weird - yours is updated but mine isn't.. and I put mine in around Noon. I hope it's not because I have a different password on CAO and CDO.

Presumably give that you have the scripts etc it might be possible to have a top 10 list perminantly rolling?

Perhaps top 10 high score and top top 10 fastest finish
- overall
- for each race
- for each class
- for each combo

the equivalent with Soup Stone would be to score a position on the top 10 for a combo from every race, and from every class.
