i have noticed while training spellcasting that mana goes up as opposed to when the opposite happens and it just increases at level gains.

Monsters are sometimes a challenge. In these circumstances you should use caution. Other times monsters are not a challenge, and in those times it's not as necessary to use caution. Except sometimes you were wrong about it and it was necessary.

today i was buying some falafel which i do about twice a week. i always only get iceberg salad, i have two falafel places which i rotate so i only look like a loser who eats falafel with iceberg salad once a week instead of a loser who eats falafel with iceberg salad twice a week. falafel guy asked me what kind of salad i want and i said "only iceberg please" (i suppose i do mumble and speak quietly, however it's always the same order), he puts iceberg, cucumbers, tomatos and cabbage on it and hands it to me with a straight face. i give him his money. he doesn't say thanks. i say thanks and leave. it tastes ok though, eating it right now.

Well actually, even if no one thanked them ever some posters with fewer than a hundred thanks would get bumped to hundred thanks eventually, and there would be more than three posters with a hundred thanks!
