Positioning-there’s really not too much of a need for this sort of nonsense because the ‘tab’ button exists! You’ll be using the biggest axe you can find without training any skill in it, blood for the blood amirite? RIP AND TEAR!!
Armour-Pile that shit on son, you ain’t never gon be diesel without some bad ass GDA!
Casting spells-There are two opposing schools of thought here. Go big or go home, avoid them like sars (remember that shit?)
Skills
Train lots of throwing and all those stones become ammo for your Nolan Ryan like arms that obliterate jellies in 6-8 shots...and all that without corroding your giant axe!!
Fighting is for when you don’t use weapons, you know like wrestling not boxing.
Don’t bother with stealth, this being an ASCII based game you can’t get behind stuff properly you know.

adder- a simple snake in a game full of dragons, don't worry about them
orc priest-green ‘o’ that will kill you regardless of where you are.
invisible thing that kills you with darts and flames-his name is Sigmund, he’s a real dick
Crazy Yiuf-This chump always has a cloak(sometimes ego) and a quarterstaff of chaos, the only acceptable substitute for axes RIP AND TEAR!!
centaurs-stupid manhorse lovechild that has bows and is faster than you
Items
quaff as soon as you find them so you can identify everything earlier, same with scrolls (very important)
blowguns can poison monsters from far away but you have to switch weapons to do it each time, they’re only good unless you find a TON of curare needles
mutation roulette is the best game you can play in the early dungeon
Religion
Cheibriados-this guy gives you INSANE high stats but makes you slow, but I mean you’ll need them to haul out all them phat ass purpz from the boss kno wat im sayn?

Vehumet-if you cast any spells you need veh
Mahkleb-the blood god -=*oooOOOOooOOOOooo*=- kill shit and mahk will luv u
Xom-if you’re getting bored with dying before lair give Xom a try
