I'd gone through most of Vaults with just a +1 flaming battleaxe, not finding much with higher enchantments.
Unless something has changed recently, electrocution only has a chance to proc on each hit. Is the Wiki wrong on this one? I suppose you might argue that you get more damage out of the procs over a long time, on average, than from the more consistent bonuses of flaming or freezing? I dunno really, I've used elec around Vaults before too and it seemed okay but I've felt somehow more impressed with freezing in particular.

While it is true that elec is a flat bonus, and flaming/freezing are percentage based, in effect that just means that the difference is *larger* on faster, lighter weapons, and that to get to the point where feezing/flaming catch up requires less over the top rediculousness (last i checked you needed something like 60 str on a +9 exec axe at min delay. To get freezing to average the same as elec, but that was a while ago)

Now I'm just confused... Did you get this right, or did you mean to say it the other way around?
(Although this is starting to feel like an Advice thread maybe, but hey it's Crazy Yiuf anyway.)
I went through the late stages with a lot of elec (whenever holy or freeze weren't obviously called for) and was pretty happy with it, too in the event. Used freezing against OOFs and went through them pretty quick.

For all practical purposes, in the places where it matters how much damage you do, you can treat elec as always better than freezing/flaming (with the usual caveats about resistance)
Now stonychips claims he would rather have his bonus brand damage more consistently applied even if it means lower the overall average (since elec's damage is much more inconsistent), which is a perfectly reasonable viewpoint, although I'd point out that since your *base* damage is inconsistent, and flaming/freezing damage is based on the base damage, there isn't a lot of difference in overall consistency of damage done between elec and freezing/flaming (both are fairly inconsistent)

I'd been using an amulet {RegenMP +Inv rElec MR+} for the rElec, having boots with +Inv and four pips of MR+. I think going to three pips of MR+ is worth it to get Spirit on a melee character, so good trove.
