In trunk changelog

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

In trunk changelog

Where I can find it?
I met hill giant at D:5, with a bloody giant spiked club... RIP ring of slaying, evasion, other good shiny loot.

No you!
Also, good joke, but this huge list of changes buried my will to know about changes. I'll wait for summary changelog.

Re: In trunk changelog

Hill giants don't spawn naturally on D:5 or anything like that in trunk. If you spent a long time on the level, harder monsters start spawning and that probably caused the hill giant. If not, there are still occasional out of depth spawns.
from learndb:
  Code:
The maximum possible is a 9 level difference, or 5 on D:1; add random2avg(27,2) as a special farmer penalty which only triggers after ~1k turns and is quite rare even then.

Re: In trunk changelog

That or a vault did it, i know there are one or two really early vaults that can spawn 8s (ridiculously out of depth stuff)

  Code:
<Mu_> "I've been trying .7 repeatedly all day and I just can't get past floor 2 or 3 on average anymore, it's way too common that I run into enemies that have no business being on the floor and in giant packs too. I just want to have fun with the game and I had fun on .6, .7 just isn't. So someone please help me out in reverting to .6. I don't care if you insult me while doing it, I'm just fed up with .7."

Re: In trunk changelog

So then it was a standard OOD spawn. And yes, it's just you, frost giants have always killed characters with 6 AC and it seems like he got a couple melee hits in. Even with a cold branded weapon, the majority of melee damage is physical, and it seems like the bolts of cold were secondary to that.
