Yeah, I visited the baazar before grabbing the slay ring...unfortunately nothing else particularly exciting, just the boots of assassins and some other good scrolls and pots. I left with enough gold to buy only the ring By the time I cleared zot:4 I could affort the ?acquirement or ctele ring..but I had practically no reason to return back and get one of those

I want to rephrase my statement: crawl needs an interdimensional locket where you can put items you won't use but you may gift to your future char.

There's a god with randomized powers in the plans, and one of the powers he may grant (if you roll it) is being able to wear more than 2 (or 8 I guess?) rings for a piety cost.

Also, my current game is also the first one with firestarter, though I will not use it too, since it's also the first one with the singing sword (on d:6 with vpak, nevertheless).
