Good finds on D:1

Found an ice dragon hide on D:1 extremely recently. As a troll.

...and then died several dungeon levels down to Grum's war dogs on an open level after not finding a single enchant armour scroll for the duration.

A Red Dragon Armour
A Ring of Slaying +4+5
Plate Mail
Wand of Disintegration (only 2 charges, but w/e)

One time I found the Orb of Zot on D:1 or D:2.

Too bad it was surrounded by unbreakable transparent walls (and also was almost certainly a mimic). Cool vault though.

there used to be an entry vault that had three rune mimics, an Orb of Zot mimic, and an upstairs, behind unbreakable glass, to remind the player of what it takes to win, but it got taken out, for mimichaving

Been an awful while, but once long ago I came across either a gold dragon or crystal dragon hide on ~D:1-2. I don't remember much about that round, but the important part is that I died quickly thereafter.

EDIT: Hey, worst find time. On D:4, but eh. First Ijyb. Then Grinder. Then Dovan and Duvessa. In an open area layout with all the stairs in one place. Actually managed to kill them all except for Dovan, because of his rude usage of impaling me with ice shards.

Don't you know that if you find some extremely great piece of equipment which you can't use in d:1-d:2, like crystal plate armour on an Ogre or staff of wucad mu on a TrBE, and you reroll, then the RNG quarantees at least as good or better piece of equipment on the same or the next level?? Or at the very least you get d:2 Sigmund who wakes up immediately.

Well, not on D1, but I found +9 Armor of the Dragon King on D5. Too bad I was a Spriggan. -.-

Not D1 but still... Wucad Mu on D2 without any guard in a vault.
Of course I was a character without any spells and died on next level of dungeon.
