Anyone who has a streak of 20+ has an 'effective win rate'* of 95%+.
*Effective win rate means 'when playing exclusively for win rate, they should have a win rate of this or higher over that period'
A streak of Bes isn't as amazing as Mikee's streak of 22 random things (which are in general not as strong as bes), but it's amazing nonetheless!
I hope to see it get longer, and longer...

How does one cheat at Crawl online? That doesn't seem possible; I guess if you somehow load a floor and don't let the server save the floor, and play it through to success, then follow the same success online?

I think you can cheat streaks by playing until you're about to die and then just never playing the character again, swapping to a different server/version and starting a new character. I know this works for sequell, not sure about the website. If you do this the only person you're cheating is yourself, really.

Tedronai ran out of species so I guess he is trying to win every background now, probably all with 15 runes. I am glad he went with GhMo as first combo as it confirms my opinion that Gh is the best species for 15 runes win.

Gh is fine for extended, but man, this VSAr I just played was definitely my easiest extended ever. VS is just so fricking good. By the end I had +18 slaying, which meant that pretty much everything I fought died in about 9 aut.

Initially I wanted to ctrl-q an HOBe after my last Berserker to let it end like it began. But since the tournament is still going I won't do that and thus the streak continues.

That would be unfortunate. Consider going in reverse order if you are bored:
HOBe...,MuBe,GhMo,MiWr,MiWr,GhMo,MuBe,...HOBe.
That would be closer to "end like it began"

Also, I think the best streak is elliptic's mummy streak of 11 bad mummies. Since this is the longest mummy streak, maybe mummies do not have 95% possibilities to win ?

VS bites do a truckload of antimagic-branded damage (which is further improved by slaying). I mean, regular dude with 18 slaying and a quickblade would be nice as well, but VS specifically - you just need to see it to believe it.

I killed 4 VSWn trying to reach Lair, their low HP really hurts. Of course there were no unavoidable deaths, I really should start treating VS as Fe early game.

have you considered pumping spellcasting up to 5 right off the bat along with your weapon skill
by the time you reach 5 while training it from 0 at 50% you'll be at ~20 mp which helps a lot
(and their regeneration makes the early lowhp shenanigans more tolerable)

I have no knowledge how MPs are increased and didn't expect Spellcasting 5 to give so many MPs. Thank you, I'll try it with next character.

Thread seems to be as good a place as any to say that streaks also should not count duplicate charcters (a streak of only MiBe for example), plus when generating random characters the server should check to see if you're on a streak and not roll duplicate characters. I suppose duplicates could be allowed if a player manages to streak all possible combos, though that's not going to happen.

This was actually already done by Aniseseed Gumball on the Korean servers.

It's possibly derived from the US cartoon "The Amazing World of Gumball", about a boy cat named Gumball Watterson who has a sister named Anais Watterson. Show airs on Cartoon Network, is somewhat amusing, sometimes morbidly so, and is on its third(?) season right now.
