Apocalypse When?

So, I read about that whole 200 milion turn hard limit. The "Outside, the world ends around you"
so I thought

gee how much time does the world have left?

Looking at a top speedrun (78291's 2010 score), I calculated the average seconds per turn. Multiplying that by 200 million, and, assuming the time spent in the dungeon is in some semblance of realtime, that gives 480 million seconds.

Or just over 15 years.

Okay, so maybe that's a bit bleak. Let's assume the game does NOT take place on average in realtime.

Looking at the hunger counter, you've got a maximum satiation of 12,000. Hunger decreases by 2 each turn. So, you've got 6,000 turns assuming no fighting or spellcasting before you starve to death. According to here, death by starvation can take between 41 and 65 days. Let's assume the middle. 53 days. 6,000 turns lasts 53 days. That's 4579200 seconds over 6,000 turns, or an average turn length of 763.2 seconds. No way it takes over two hours to swing a sword, so I assume turns are longer when resting or w/e. It's irrelevant. Point is, 763.2*200,000,000 is 152,640,000,000 seconds, or 4,840 years. It also means that the top speedrun of all time (hyperbolic's 13435 turns) took 118 days. Between the apocalypse date and the speedrun length... I'd say this sounds pretty accurate for the dungeon.

Actually this is wrong because it ignores the effects of relativity. You see, we don't notice it in everyday life, but the passing of time is actually relative. If 1 year has already passed, and you wait 1 year, a total of 2 years will have passed, as expected. But if 1,000 years have already passed, you have to wait another 1,000 years before the 1,001st year passes, because 1,000 years is 1 year relative to the 1,000 years that have already passed. Therefore the total time you have to wait for the world to end is actually 4,840^2 years, or 2,342,560 years.
