Triple crossbows should fire 3 bolts at once.

Instead of higher base damage, give them the same base damage as a hand crossbow, but they get 3 separate hits per shot. So potentially triple damage, but also AC would be counted 3 times.

AF: Auto-Fire allows a beam weapon to fire 3 separate times in rapid
succession, each time with a 20% penalty to its accuracy
AP: Armour Piercing beam weapons penetrate any type of armour except
Xentronium. All of the damage done passes through as if there were
no armour at all.
CO: Continuous fire prevents a beam weapon from overheating as
quickly, allowing it to fire over a longer duration. This gives the
targeting computer time to adjust the aim during fire, increasing the
weapon's accuracy by 25

Wouldn't MIRV bolts or Fast Missile Racks (can fire twice in one turn but then must go a turn without firing before they can be used again) be more appropriate for a crossbow?

Also, triple blowguns.

IMHO MIRV bolts are implemented by penetrating brand and Fast Missile Racks are close to Statue Form (more damage per attack but attack takes more time).

How about firing it on 'triple mode' has a chance to utterly wreck it due to a hideous malfunction? </why Ultra ACs make no sense from a military perspective>
