a useful high technology device

We use cell phones too much in our lives. Every day, every hour, every

minute we keep cell phones in our hands. But the problem is, what to

do if we need to keep silent in some speical places? A

cell phone jammer will be the answer. Cell phone jammer is an instrument used

to prevent cellular phones from receiving and transmitting the mobile

signals to a base station. When turned on, the jammer effectively

disables cellular phones in a certain working area. Practically these

devices can be used in any location, but most of them are found in

places where a phone call would be particularly disruptive. Those

places include meeting rooms, libraries, churches, mosques, movie

theaters, and other places where silence is expected.

At the beginning, cell phone blocker was originally developed for law enforcement and the military

to interrupt communications by criminals and terrorists. Some were

also designed to foil the use of certain remotely detonated

explosives. The civilian applications were apparent, so over time many

companies originally contracted to design jammers for government use

switched over to sell these devices to private entities. Since then,

there as been a slow but steady increase in their purchase and use

especially in major metropolitan areas.

Operation Jammers block cell phone use by sending out radio waves

along the same frequencies that cellular phones use. This causes

enough interference with the communication of cell phones and the

towers to render the phones unusable. On most retail phones, the

network would simply appear out of range. Most cell phones use

different bands to send and receive communications from towers. Thus

jammers can work by either disrupting phone to tower frequencies or

tower to phone frequencies. Smaller handheld models block all bands

from 800mhz to 1900mhz within a 30 foot range. Small devices tend to

use the former method, while larger more expensive models may

interfere directly with the tower. The radius of cell phone jammers

can range from a dozen feet for pocket models to kilometers for more

dedicated units.

Older cell phone signal

jammer sometimes was limited to working on phones using only

analog or older digital mobile phone standards. Newer models such as

the double and triple band jammers can block all widely used systems

(AMPS, iDEN, GSM, et al) and are even very effective against newer

phones which hop to different frequencies and systems when interfered

with. As the dominant network technology and frequencies used for

mobile phones vary worldwide, some work only in specific regions such

as Europe or North America.

The power of the jammer's effect can vary widely based on factors such

as proximity to towers, indoor and outdoor settings, presence of

buildings and landscape, even temperature and humidity play a role.

is this a bot? either way i am very confused..

maybe new item idea: 'Jammer' mitigates the effect of all permanent item status effects(no-tele/etc) in a certain radius? sounds kinda gamebreaking.. its late and im drunk.. appologies

Yes, it's a spam bot.

I'm not sure what posts with no links really do to benefit the bot, but it's a thing that exists in any case. Also, these forums seem to be highly interested in spam bots, for some reason.

The original post contained links, a moderator has removed them. A bit of a shame since they provided access to a useful high technology device...

the yoke of moderation keeps us from progress
perhaps this whole democracy experiment should be put an end to

A moderator sees a spambot spamming the forum, and instead of deleting the posts, he (she) deletes the links??

As soon as we rise above the material desires implanted into us by a greedy capitalistic society, we can see that our bodies and their needs are trivial and irrelevant and we are, in fact, all one in spirit

There's no real reason to buy dildos. Whenever I go to someone's house I try to get myself alone in their bedroom for a minute, then find a dildo and slip it into my jacket. Even when they realize their dildo is gone, they'll never ask you if you stole it, because it would mean admitting that it's their dildo. So far I've gotten 6 dildos this way without paying a cent.

I would have thought the victim would have learned after the 5th time at least to hide the dildo better... :)
