Newbie Angband tournament happening at angband.oook.cz
Now that the 0.14 tourney is over, you might be a little burnt out on crawl.
It turns out that the Angband community over at http://angband.oook.cz hosts a (basically) monthly competition, where a new Angband variant is selected every month and a savefile for a specific character build is created for everyone to use. Games are played offline and character dumps are uploaded to a custom competition ladder so that people can compare progress. (Yes, this is an honor system!)
Generally the variants and builds selected are esoteric or just flat-out really hard for a newbie to the game to digest. However, we're specifically running a 'newbie competition' for the next 3 weeks, and we're inviting people who enjoy other roguelikes to give it a shot!

You'll have to sign up for a forum account to participate, but that's all you need -- other than downloading the Angband 3.5 flavor of your choice at http://rephial.org/.
