Is it really still a STUPID death if you get killed by something you auto-traveled to which is holding an electrical branded weapon on D1?? How bout if that happens 3x in a row? Just curious.

None taken. Obviously it is stupid to die to multiple weapons of electrocution but it seems rather BROKEN when it happens in a row, on D1...It is almost as if this build (14.xxx trunk) is out to get me in particular. Probably payback for the 1 win and 2 almost wins. Just saying...I've had some peculiar streaks but weapon brands seem to be pretty rare on Level 1 afaik and then suddenly they aren't.

More annecdotal evidence that the RNG is a perverse twisted mass murdering asshat: Found not only a GDA on d2 (as a LOFE with no chance of ever wearing it) but a PDA on d5 (also not likely to ever be wearing it.) :/ That was my first run as a LOFE. And boy was I psyched after seeing such largess only to find NOTHING of interest up to L3 where I died to stupidity.

LOFE starts with Str 10 and gets Str every 5th level so at XL 27 you can have Str 24, that's enough for GDA.
One of my MuWz who was looking for Sif Muna altar found a vampiric trident on D5 instead, that was enough to abandon all spells, equip the heaviest armour and join Okawaru

Lol ouch. I don't know that Id be able to do that mentally. But seriously with the armor I'd have to start adding Str instead of Int and I just couldn't see switching to a meleer just for good armor (which is reputedly the worst of the dragon armors because it is so heavy.) I mean I almost never find decent dragon armor so I might just have become jaded by seeing it on a character that actively doesn't want it.

I mean it seems like almost all of the das have heavy drawbacks (either because they are easily outclassed by randarts, are too heavy for the AC they give or too flimsy with non-relevant extras. I realize this isn't 100% correct but that is how it has seemed as I have found maybe 10 non-skinned dragon armors total, ever, and only one was better than +0,+0 and even that didn't get too high up since EA is about as rare.

I've just tested, GDA gives AC 14, EV -8 on XL 1 LOFE and rF++/rC+, also LO has +1 aptitude in Armour and -2 in Dodging so it could be a fun game especially after finding 4 aux armours - 18/22 AC per skill level, that's huge.

Yeah but you can't kill anything...so you have to switch to a non-spell casting means of doing so which kills the whole purpose of even playing a LOFE...
