God Proposal: God of change

possible name: Vertumnus
altar: none. After a random interval upon entering one of the levels between 6 and 9, you are directly asked if you wish to join. If you were already with another god, the wrath is halved upon switching (Best of luck!).
abilities: only Renounce Religion
God effects: every 5 to 7 turns, one of the following happens:
1) 01% chance: the brand of your wielded weapon changes. If no brand, reroll.
2) 01% chance: one of your equipped items ego changes. If the randomly chosen equipment slot does not have any egos, reroll.
3) 01% chance: one of your spells is switched with another spell of equal level. If no spells, reroll
4) 03% chance: one of the alters found is changed.
5) 03% chance: one of the potions on you or in the dungeon (including branches) is changed to another potion.
5) 03% chance: one of the scrolls on you or in the dungeon (including branches) is changed to another scroll.
6) 05% chance: one piece of food on you or in the dungeon (including branches) is changed to another food.
7) 3% chance: a monster in sight is switched for another of (somewhat) same level. Uniques do not count. reroll if impossible.
8) 20% chance: a wall in the dungeon (including branches) is turned into glass or vice-versa. Keeps same resilience. Does not affect undestructable walls
9) 5% chance: one of the stairs is moved to another location on same level. Special dungeon levels not affected.
10) 15% chance: a random wall in the dungeon (including branches) is removed. This includes vegetation walls. Random ground is set. Special dungeon levels not affected. Same chance of spawning items as when the level is created.
11) 15% chance: a random wall is added to the dungeon (including branches). This includes vegetation walls. Special dungeon levels not affected. All items are destroyed.
12) 5% chance: a random flooring is switched for another random flooring.
13) 20% chance: the color of a wall or floor is changed. Only for flavor.

Punishment for leaving: During high tension, there is a chance that 1) an equipped item is rerolled, biased towards worse 2) An enemy is switched to a random enemy one level higher

Re: God Proposal: God of change

This seems like less of a god and more of a mess-everything-up roulette. I don't think anyone would find this god desirable, and the ones who want something new and interesting that involves random chance will just go with Xom.

Basically worshiping this god means that every 5 - 7 turns (that's an !! EXTREMELY !! short timer for any god-induced action, regardless of how insignificant the action may be) you get an 88% chance that something either completely insignificant or something bad will happen to you, and the remaining 12% you might have something somewhat good happen to you (your potion of flight turns into a potion of heal wounds at a moment when you need health), but also an equally if not more significantly higher chance of something bad happening (your ring of fire protection turns into a ring of ice while fighting a fire dragon, or your ring of sustenance turns into a ring of hunger). Regardless if the effect is good or not, it's not reliable and you shouldn't by any means depend on it to actually help you when you need it.

Re: God Proposal: God of change

This sounds like a good god to worship on D:3 and just stroll around until my potion of poison becomes one of experience.

I think this god could be played by bots only. Checking inventory or carefully reading messages every 5-7 turns should be a paid job.

Another abyssal god that makes the dungeon warp like the Abyss!? ...that I could see. The rest of it...is more than a bit too much.
I'm beginning to feel like a Cat God! Felid streaks: {FeVM^Sif Muna, FeWn^Dithmenos, FeAr^Pakellas}, {FeEE^Ashenzari, FeEn^Gozag, FeNe^Sif Muna, FeAE^Vehumet...(ongoing)}

It is incredibly scummable in that you can wait for your scrolls/potions to become strategic resources and then use them. And in that you can wait for the walls to become items. Also I'm pretty sure you'd spend half your time entombed by randomly appearing walls.

So basically it's Xom but less interesting and more tedious?
