New God: Euclidiel

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

New God: Euclidiel

Since everyone seems to be proposing new gods:

I'm here to propose a new god, Euclidiel, who presides over mathematics. Euclidiel lives in self-imposed exile from the pantheon after being bullied by the other gods, especially Trog, and has a distinct hatred for them. Euclidiel appreciates it when you kill enemies who are berserk, are capable of berserking, or have average or or below average intelligence (animals and plants included). Due to his exile, Euclidiel cannot be found in the Ecumenical Temple, but may still be found in Dungeon levels 1-9. He/She wants worshipers to be as lonely as itself, and so bans mercenaries, summons, zombie and skeleton minions, and all other forms of allies. Euclidiel also dislikes it when one trains the Summonings and Necromancy schools (piety loss), or becomes berserk through any means (penance).

Abilities:
Upon joining- "You can calculate trajectories and act upon them accordingly." All attacks have a passive slaying bonus to accuracy equal to (Piety/40), rounding down. All enemies suffer a similar malus to accuracy as you predict and dodge their attacks (this could just be an EV increase, or something like the penalty from Umbra)
* Educated Recital- Enemies recognize the math blight you carry with you and flee accordingly while calling out insults (Equivalent to a fear scroll, but only effective for enemies of average and below average intelligence). Has a large Piety cost.
** Cardinalized Retreat- You can perform semi-controlled blinks, but only in non-diagonal cardinal directions, and only away from monsters. (large Piety cost plus glow)
*** Differentiation- Casts Disintegrate, as per the wand effect. (6 MP plus hunger and small Piety loss)
**** Integration- Regenerates health and MP at rates similar to the Regenerate spell at low spell power. (5 MP and hunger)
***** Exponentiation- Activated ability similar to Dithmengos's shadow mimic that lasts for 4-6 turns. Has a ((Piety/2)-20) percent chance to mimic each spell or melee/projectile attack, creating a replica of each spell or attack with less spellpower or base damage. Each replica has a ((Piety/2)-70) percent chance of inciting its own replica. (12 MP and large Piety cost)
****** Aura of Zeno- Passive ability that casts Slow on every enemy in LOS at low spellpower once every 5 turns. Comes with an activated ability that makes incoming attacks that would deal damage (after AC, EV, and SH) have their damage rounded down to the nearest prime number (13 MP and glow). Stealth is decreased by 150.

Obviously this is a work in progress, which is why it's in CYC and not GDD. If anyone has serious (or semi-serious) feedback on the idea, I'd appreciate it.

Maybe the god could have that "average rolls on everything" ability which was brought not so long ago.

Here's the altar tile.

Totally not stolen from a random google search.

Re: New God: Euclidiel

I love the concept of Aura of Zeno, but would make it closer to the paradox:

Activated, large piety, medium hunger: any monster may fail moving towards dependant on distance and invocation. Any projectile has a chance on stopping halfway depending on invocation.

It's probably too whacky, but Ide take it to GDD anyway. If nothing else, it may inspire some interesting new mechanics.
To all new players: Ignore all strategy guides posted on the wiki, ask questions in the Advice forum, players with lots of posts normally have the best advice.

Maybe a bit unfocused currently, but could be modified to fit a role (eg. defensive god for ranged characters). If it's got good flavour and good game contribution then go for it.

This should not include being attacked by chaos-branded weapon and turned berserk.
In fact, it may fit the fluff dislike the chaos brand and offer similar benefits when killing ennemies who wield chaos-branded weapons (and chaos spawns), them being unpredictable. Another idea about that would be to reduce the chances to get negative effects from chaos branded enemies with piety.

Re: New God: Euclidiel

Maybe he should gradually change your LOS to a square as you gain piety, having full square LOS at 6 star.
