surely you have gone to bed with your socks on since you were too lazy to take them off, then got afraid that your feet were sweaty, but they weren't when you checked, but still they
felt sweaty when you put the socks back on (maybe the socks absorbed the sweat?), so you took the socks off, then a couple minutes later you realised that you were lying next to a pair of socks so you decided to figure out what the hell is up with guys who masturbate into socks, then after a couple minutes of empirical testing you decide that maybe they use lube or buy more expensive socks or something and then you slowly drift to sleep wondering why you never felt the need to buy lube for your own needs, but you can't quite get to sleep because your feet are kinda cold but you don't want to wear the socks that felt weird and that you just stuck your dick in so you get up and take a new pair out of the drawer and then go to sleep with your socks on

On the upside the socks on are working double time to catch with the socks off. Now everyone will know forever the greatness of bedtime socking. And all the girls will finally celebrate sharing a bed with a socker.

I was once explicitly asked to remove my socks by a woman I was about to make love to. I was somewhat miffed as I was just about to reach unbidden to remove them. It was clearly a matter of great importance for her.

An added benefit of sleeping with socks on is that after a sufficient number of years, feet hair get the message and stop growing there. Not only is a naked grown man wearing socks beautiful, it's also got hairfree feet!

When I first started playing Crawl, there was a period where I was living alone and I was and still am completely convinced that playing without any pants on made me a better player. This was proven later on when I eventually got a new roommate and was forced to play with pants, thus reducing the quality of my play. I eventually learned to overcome this undeniable deficit and have become a somewhat decent player, but who knows how good I could have been by now if I had been allowed to play sans pants?
