One time in Zot:5 with a FoBe I deliberately stepped on alarm trap to lure monsters into my hole. Felt good.

I took advantage of similar situation in Vaults 5 with DDFi, instead of trying to run away I fought everything in killing zone where only 1 monster could see me.

But this time it would not work, as it turned out there was Tiamath with vampiric demon trident, he was almost unkillable. I had a vampiric demon weapon too so I tried killing him 3 times and last time we were fighting during 50+ turns so my Haste timed out before he finally died.

seems like an epic battle. I wish I could animate it.

I don't love it when I die with an unidentified +0, +9 ring of slaying in inventory. I'm beginning to feel I'm going to use id scrolls for undientified tried rings over potions just because of this.

...So next time I'll probably die with an undientified potion of experience in inventory...

Jewellery auto-ids in trunk now.

yeah, my .14 priority was always try jewellery, if it doesn't ID, then ID it first, then potions. Of course this is removed in .15, so now just try it on and ID potions.

I don't love it when I fire up a necromancer and decide from the start to go Kiku and the first Kiku altar is on D:9.

Yes, they are. Almost 8.000 turns have passed and nothing has changed except Jiyva has taken away my gloves slot also despite I rely on AC mostly. I hope she will not make me lose +2 boots of running, that would be too cruel.

For wizard, conjure flame, dude (blink first if you turned corner and are close to the hydra)

these days, I was tabbing with a reaaaally powerful lajatang of speed dude, and forgot how to hydra.
suddenly, the thing becomes the damned learnean hydra. so many heads, so little HP.

or I could've used my scrolls of blinking or my spell of blinking or really just about anything. I love how I can just roll TrWz^Chei offline and win my first time, but as soon as I step online it's like my brains leak out my asshole.

For a troll of Chei, large rocks are your friend against hydras.

would you believe that the only troll that found large rocks in the D threw them all at another enemy before the hydra popped out from around a corner right in melee range? In a spot on the map where I could blink about two spaces away, max?

I have ?remove curse identified, but only through the one I used in the ID, and obviously none in inventory. Just spent 100+ turns trying to kill an adder (good thing I'm made of stone); had to run around it mid-fight to collect my 19 arrows.

What the heck do I even do?

EDIT: O - 3 tomahawks of returning (quivered), were right around the corner. I don't know how you did that cerebovssquire, but I'm grateful.

I would pick up some tomahawks/javelins if you can find any (I assume you don't have any ?enchant weapon either?), they will deal more damage than arrows from that bow.

Speaking of centaurs, I've had two D1 centaurs today. Level 2 wizard vs centaur is just sad. No meph

That just happened to me, even went two levels down. Playing a DEHu, I had already found Lair entrance on D:11 but decided to clear the level before going in. Then I fell through a shaft. The minotaur fight was one of the hardest I've had.
