new evocable hats

Crown: evoc enslavement

Jester's hat: evoc random effects beam

Scary mask: evoc fear

Sleeping cap: evoc self sleep and curing potion

Bear hat: evoc might followed by weakness, dur based on evoc skill

All have limited charges, can be recharged with scrolls.

Artifacter starts with 1 hat, 1 wand, and 1 other evocable like box of beasts or something maybe?

Evocable might, lol.

Edit: actually give it to Bear Spirit hat maybe, because it's really boring otherwise and artefacts are allowed to be silly (Thief cloak).

How can you laugh at evocable might and not berserk? Anyway, there's weakness following it. It could be nerfed even more if needd too: it's only a proposal.

Yeah, I thought about it too, but then I remembered evocable berserk makes you pass out (essentially a short paralysis) and makes you Slow. Both of these things are really, really bad in combat. Weakness is ungood too, but with weakness you can usually just walk away or use some escape method (or even finish the dude off), it really isn't as bad as Zerk posteffects.
Oh, and Zerk also has huge hunger cost, I guess.

I could make these all day. Sorry for how bad they are:
Wrathful countenance of the Butterfly King - evocable sputterflies
Unspent fuel rod - Evocable which gives you the effects of 1x!beneficial mutation, 1x!mutation. Any negative mutations from doing this are put into your racial mutations and can't be removed with !cmut.
Mask of Agony - evocable torment. Not usable by the unliving.
Boots of Running - now just gives evocable swiftness (sorry)
Boxing Gloves - Adds 5 to your effective unarmed skill ala heroism
Scroll of Shuffle - Not sure if it should let you pick the two stats
Helm of Enlightenment - {Clarity, rTorment, Int+5, archmagi} - wearing this hat causes you to abandon your god and be unable to join a new one, but suffer no wrath
Cloak of Temporal Displacement - Evocable similar to ToME damage shaving. Causes all damage for X turns to be deferred and spread out over {4,5,6} turns, possibly giving you more time to finish the encounter and heal.

At least you said you're sorry I guess.
I disagree with bear hat being boring, it's a great hat and well, not everything has to be completely unique all the time.
Also while evocable might with the right penalties and right duration could work it'd still be competing with +RAGE and berserk sounds better than this.
Furthermore I find berserk to be more interesting in general.

Beer Hat: Gives you might status and adds 100 HP to your bar. It also adds +5 to all your skills on the m screen. Unfortunately these don't actually affect your real stats but it's an accurate depiction of reality.
