If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

It'd be the same for you if you came to Europe (presuming you're not half-Irish or something - don't you have an Irish surname?). My partner might object to the arranged marriage thing, unfortunately, so it'll have to be a job.

I'm not certain that being treacherous and being a liar are logically equivalent so I don't think this qualifies.

Well, I was ascribing a positive attribute (wisdom) to them so if you regard saying that a group is good, based on a racial or ethnic definition of that group, as racism then you may have a case. That's probably not what most people mean when they refer to racism, though.

You make a smartass comment.
Grimm changes reality by creating a new thread, erasing his own comment, and placing your contribution out of context.
You look foolish.

Not to mention I know some residents of Vancouver, so it wouldn't be all Crawl. On the other hand I do have the Tavern to moderate.

I think we could all agree that disaster would surely should the Tavern be allowed to become immoderate. I note with interest that this task is the only reason you give for not upping sticks and hitting the road.

Much of Canada is further South than Scotland. Vancouver is less far north than where I grew up, so I am used to it.

In any case, it is summer and there will thus be more light if you travel north.

Canada doesn't exist in Crawl either - and don't say "Ice Cave", that is not funny - therefore you will be spending your time a week from now in NOTHINGNESS.

I welcome the relief from Samsāra.

I will also be eating lots of sushi and drinking cold Canadian beer. And engaging with the international news-media. It's all good.

Distance from my current location to where Kate Beaton (according to her website) lives, NYC: c.3335 miles
Distance from Vancouver BC to where Kate Beaton (according to her website) lives, NYC: c.3080 miles

Being in the nothingness of ultima thule isn't going to make much difference in terms of either distance or territory.

I do not live in that part of the country so that does not trouble me. In fact, where I grew up had a very similar climate to the Pacific NW: pleasant summers, mild and wet winters.
