Gastronok is an Elephant Slug so he has a really big bite and he can sometimes hit pretty hard with Airstrike. He can very easily down a character that isn't paying attention to his sometimes surprisingly high damage output for those who don't realize it. Learned this the hard way when I was trying a Spriggan Stabber; failed the stab, he bit me, i tried running away but caught me with an Airstrike before running Out of Sight and killed me.

Good point. It seems to me like he prefers to summon spammals rather than airstrike, but if he does airstrike while you're fleeing you can be in for a bad day.

Re: Favourite unique?

Nessos is my most favorite/annoying unique.
Also I like to fight Nessos when I am Ce, Lamia when I am Na, Minotaur when I am Mi, you got the idea.
The most unusual fight was one vs Dowan/Duvessa when both were killed by 5 zaps from wand of random effects.

Re: Favourite unique?

My favourtie unique is Cerebov.
I mean look at hime he has a sword which burns the fire resistant and the fire immune!
He is in frickin' full golden plate armour, and rules over... let's say 500 demons, AND he casts the strongest fire conjuration in the whole game!
(Also he has high power iron shot and some other nasty spells)
His appearance in tiles should look more angry like: You dare to get this far!? Prepare for geting roasted and beheaded!

EDIT: I actually never met him without cheating. :(

My favorite unique?

Arachne. Definitely Arachne. I have a thing for half-girl, half-beast creatures, like mermaids and harpies and the like, and I also have a thing for wicked, dominating personalities. Arachne is both, and not to be taken lightly. Ilsuiw is on a similar level, and even Duvessa counts because elf warrior girls are real sweet for me too.

I haven't once encountered Lamia yet, but I'm sure I have the same feelings towards her.

I like Boris too because, as a HECj main, I see Boris as a worthy rival, and he uses many spells that I like to use! Bolt of Cold, Orb of Destruction, Haste, Invisibility? Definitely rival material. Especially since he keeps showing up over and over. I'm always like, "Ooh, you again? Let's do this." The few times I've fought him as a melee character he's given me considerably more grief.

Oh yeah. :) Cerebov is like, the pinnacle of "let's see what you're truly made of, adventurer". I get the same feeling from all the "Pandemonium Lord Kings" though, except for Mnoleg, which is his own other level of "whoa".

I once got a Wizmode character to Gloorx Vloq and he then talked about how he's gonna eat me for lunch.

I once got a Wizmode character to leave the dungeon peacefully, return to his village, and settle down and raise a family.

Re: Favourite unique?

I know others have said it already, but it's gotta be the badass daddy himself, Cerebov. (Not that I fancy him - I just respect him as a fellow badass)

When you take him down, you get a real sense of accomplishment, and he even has the decency to give you a proper sword that gives everyone a good roasting.

Makes the other uniques seem like a bunch of choirboys (and choirgirls).

(BTW I pronounce it "che-RE-boff", similarly to Cerenkov (as in the radiation) - is this right?)

...I'm really not sure I'd call Cerebov's sword decent. He's cool and all, but if you're actually considering switching swords at the point, I have no idea how you made it that far.

Actually, why hasn't anyone upgraded Cerebov's sword? :|

I had a +7,+9 great sword of holy wrath and I thought his sword might be useful for clearing a Zig - it was!

Sigmund. Just a random guy that can pop up out of nowhere and own your ass.

... actually, on that note, I had him show up and utterly OWN a draconian wizmode character I was running. Didn't die, killed him, and checked out his scythe... it was +1, +5 dragon slaying. On d:3. Mein GOTT.
