What you would do with the Orb of Zot

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it belongs here. Also, come here if you just need to get hammered.

Your point is well made but the standard usage refers to the bishop.

Well, it was that or dip into the manic flurry of participation that the bishop-vs-archbishop debate has become - and I just didn't feel I'd be able to keep up with that. So yes, for better or for worse, I am having a discussion with myself.

I am lately striving to abandon all regrets. Doesn't pay.

We actually had a good run of wacky bits for a while. What's it been, a year now? Remember "New class proposal: Beat poet"? Those were funny times. But we're old men now. Perhaps it's time to step aside and let the whippersnappers flex their tiny but supple comedy muscles.

I would use it to artificially crossbreed a race of Troll/Spriggans and then create a new weapon type to arm my new legion with: the Giant Spiked Quickblade.

Um, Troll/Spriggan crossbreed:

Biggest playable race + smallest playable race == medium size.

Fastest metabolism + slowest metabolism == standard metabolism.

Carnivore 3 + Herbivore 3 == No dietary restriction.

Good melee (except short blades)/bad everything else + good ranged and magic (plus short blades)/bad everything else == pretty average apts.

So does that mean if you cross trolls and spriggans, you get humans?

Carnivore 3 = no herbs for you.
Herbivore 3 = no meat for you.

Carnivore 3 + Herbivore 3 = no _nothing_ for you (except bread rations, if the devs are nice (can Kobolds eat bread? Can't recall now ...).

You have to play _fast_.

Soo, back on topic. JeffQzyt had a way better version of what I would have done. Anyhow, you can't just leave that Orb lying around just anywhere - there are loads of adventurers who will kill anything and everything to get it. Best to put it somewhere safe.
