So: Chaos Knight of Lugonu just because I like the flavor, and kobold cause they're fun, scrappy, and easily fed. Possibly not the best race / job match, but whatevers.
Highlights:
Found a short sword of venom and amulet of rage early on. Played like a KoBe while I was building up piety and invocations, saved banishment for emergencies.
The swamp was filled with uniques. Frigging Mara was waiting on swamp 5, and I was only level 14! I managed to use stairs to sneak around him to the vault, corrupted my way in, apported the rune, and ran for it.
Had the Lair end with dire elephants vault- once you're deep enough in, the dire elephant statues at the entrance come to life and come after you! To whoever designed that vault- that was inspired! Fun and scary.
Awful game for loot- I found only one source of rPois the whole game, fairly late, and every single artifact I found was heavy negative, or something too big for me. Took forever to find see Invs too- I kept having to retreat from things I couldn't see. (Invisible lightning throwers drove me from the wizlab!)
Was planning on enchanting and corrupting a quick blade of distortion if I ever found one. Maybe I waited too long to make my distortion weapon? Would have been easier to find a good base weapon to use if I was playing a different race.
In the end, I was wishing I'd gone with Okawaru. Really could have used some good god gifts, and all that Lugonu piety wasn't doing anything for me...
