Felid impressions from someone who's only played a couple (3 to be exact). In some ways they are super easy. You don't really need to worry about skills or equipment since they're so limited. At the same time, even with 47 EV (when wearing the +EV ring), I always felt at constant risk from the negligible AC and low HP. Having fights with orb guardians go 3 hits from me and still at full health or 1 hit from me and I'm calling in the cavalry to save me was just odd.

The final death was pretty dumb since I had items that would have saved me and had I just put on the life protection ring, I'd have been in better shape overall. At the same time, I was "recovering" from two deaths on Zot:5. One was my fault for berserking too early when fighting an OoF and having it run out and the other for not realizing that I had lost one of my two speed pots to item destruction in Zot so my attempt to ninja the orb was cut short when suddenly there were a dozen or so orb guardians + oof on the screen since the guardians were faster than me and cut off my path.

I had gone back to get more books to bring to zot 5 for piety boosts so I could use more summons + regen, along with more pots of speed and some more healing when I ran into some new spawns on d:27. It got a little dangerous and I got a little stupid leading to my 6th and final death. On the whole, I don't know if I would have been able to ninja or otherwise get the orb anyhow so it was no big loss.

What I did notice was how good amulet of faith is, especially for FeBe since I could use the summons and both "projectiles" and "blockers." I also significantly felt the lack of jewelery in the game. I found neither an rF+ ring nor a ring of fire, nor did I have rMut or rCorr available at all. I did have conservation but opted to keep faith on instead which might have been a mistake in retrospect.
