I'm going to outgrow my spellset here fairly shortly (2 runes, vault 1-2 were easy to clear). I'm kind of rudderless at the moment.

Any opinions on where I should head from here (not dungeon-wise, focus-wise)?

You didn't mention what is your goal; I suspect it's 3-runner? The character is quite solid at the moment. You might want to get ~2 strength more to somewhat further reduce armour impact on your spellcasting - might sound strange on spellcaster, but actually your 35 int is more than enough, but 10 str is rather low for FDA.

What other spells do you have access to? Fire resistant enemies will be tough with IMB/IB only. Easy solutions would be: orb of destruction or iron shot (considering you have gastronok's hat, I'd prefer iron shot). If you don't have any of these, you can still grab dispel undead, train necro a little and clear crypt. Otherwise, you can proceed through depths and wait for some good spellbook gift. You can also attempt clearing elves looking for books, but I'd discourage it for a while because of your current HPs (did you check all elven shields? +0 buckler isn't impressive). If you want to rely on fire spells (and OOD) or even get firestorm, definitely train Fire Magic. If you choose iron shot in this place, you should get instead earth magic. Cblink at 16% is something I wouldn't like to rely on - if you often feel endangered, you should further work on reducing failure rate of this spell.

Spell synergy is interesting. OoD, Poison Arrow, Bolt of Fire, Ball Lightning with Dispel Undead and Airstrike as supplemental attacks, with some utility, is just great.

The new Ball Lightning is really impressive.
