My goal this time is to get all Pandemonium runes and not die, then try Tomb/Hell and die there :)

I have 5 runes right now (Snake, Schoals, Vaults, Slime, Abyss), and I'm preparing to go into Pandemonium. Basically whats left is Tomb, Hell, Pandemonium and Zot5, I even visited Hall of blades for first time.
I think I found myself nice resistances (usually have rF++/rC++, can get one of them to max if needed). Only problem is that I cant find source of Clarity. And I could have maybe better melee weapon, but this is all I have.

My questions:
What should I train? I finally found Deflect missiles, but I need to raise Air magic to get it castable, is that worth it? Or should I train more Invocations / Fighting / something else?

As I said, I was in Pandemonium once, as Conjurer. Any tips about going there as Archer? Should I take more arrows? Or some other Items I dont have? (I noticed now that I dont have any magic maping in my inventory, I'll take few).

Or any other advices about my char welcomed :) .

Things that I found useful
anything that you need to kill that you can't hit (tormenters, hellfirers, pan lords, mutators, shadow demons) (ab)use portal projectile.
Conserve your ammo by using your melee weapon where possible, but remember that your HP matters more than your ammo.
Do you have a vorpal longbow? if so you can also make use of fire /freezing against elementally vulnerable enemies and save your unbranded ammo for your holy longbow. In conjunction with using melee for popcorn ammo management is trivial
Get some more spellcasting to reduce the hunger cost of haste / DMsl/ cBlink. Then abuse haste. Then get air for DMsl, just remember it can't block helle/fire/ball and torment.
Get silence for the tomb (train air, don't bother with hexes). Amnesia it afterwards.
Don't do anything silly like leave your stack of food on Dis:7 :roll: and then proceed to realise that halfway through Coc you're getting hungry :oops:
Clarity is only really useful vs. Mnoleg with his summon eyeballs and the odd hell effect, but remember !curing. But you're at incredibly resistant MR so that shouldn't really matter.

And if you came across another weapon of HW consider using it as your melee weapon.

And get some stealth, you're not wearing crazy-heavy armour and you have a +2 apt, not alerting {tormenters, hellfirers, pan/hell lords, mutators, shadow demons} is really helpful.

In case you haven't realized, there is absolutely no requirement to kill all the bosses. The easiest way to get runes in pandemonium is by stealing them, and with haste, controlled blink, controlled teleport, and apportation this is very easy.

Just a quick update, I already have 2 pan runes - demonic and dark (killed Gloorx Vloq)

I also caught some mutations: berserk 1, deformed body, herbivore 1 (-5AC from deformed body: 32->27). But considering I have only 1 cure mutation in my stash, I think I can live with these.
I also took demonic whip(+4,+6), so I can open trove if I enchant it little bit (wants +6,+4)

Is that stealth really worth it? I'm glowing thanks to TSO anyway, extremely unstealthy, I dont think that can get better.

it's ok for evil stuff, though, but I think you might want to give up on stealth. you could probably get some stealth, like very stealthy, by straining it up to 27 and maybe using some stlth+

Nothing to add about stealth
About bad mutations, being berserk prevents ranged attacks and this can be pretty annoying. I would consider curing mutations and finally switch to Zin later if you get malmutated again

being berserk prevents ranged attacks, but ranged attacks prevent berserk so it's fair enough.
might as well get more fighting/armour/dodging.

I cured mutations with potion I found in Pandemonium, and got all runes there. Fight with Cerebov was again last, but this time it was kind of... awkward.
There was big pool of lava between me and him, and he just stood there watching me shooting him to death instead of runing around to get me, yeah casted few firestorms but thats about it, like he was bored of living or something :).

Then I went into tomb with silence and got Golden rune from there.
So I'm siting on 11/15 runes now, only Hell is left. But I'll probably go into Pan again now to get scrolls, I want to open trove and I need to enchant that Demon whip (4,5) -> (6,5). Or should I go into Abyss?

But after it I want to try Hell. I have read just some basics about it (Guardian in vestibule -> 4 branches (7 floors deep), each with rune). I'll probably clear vestibule first and move important items from my stash there (food, arrows, etc). Something important I should know?

Dis and Tar will probably be the easiest.

Yes, dive to the 7th floor as fast as possible. All "up-stairs" will take you back to the vestibule. You can also go down then up a stair to get back to the vestibule too.

Alternatively you could switch to Zin for the hells, but TSO is good too. It's really a matter of playstyle.

I have my first 15 rune win! And second win ever!
I did hell branches in this order: Tartarus -> Dis -> Cocytus -> Gehenna. I was close to death in Cocytus when I opened door and there were 6-7 ice fiends with Antaeus and all started tormenting me. Also funny was when I got punished by TSO in Dis7 because my cleansing fire hit running hell knight (I think it was because of that).

Then I went into Zot5 where I actually almost died too, because I was to hasty, I had to use random teleport to get away.
But run with Orb was really fast, didnt met anything too dangerous. Just 1 brimstone fiend and Panlord when I was right next to stairs out of the dungeon.

When I look back, I should maybe find better melee weapon, didnt really found good staff to use, could maybe switch to swords or something. Bow was strong in all parts of the game, Portal Projectile helped a lot with summoners, etc (Cacodemons behind other monsters). But better melee weapon is really important, my arrows almost ran out at the end, I could maybe wish for some with acquirement scrolls.
Controlled blink was awesome and I'm sure my 9-rune DrCj would survive if I invested into Translocations (its not like he had to die, but controlled blink would save him in his situation).

Another funny thing... I still didnt see Crypt yet! Always Forrest when I was so far :). It was not big problem because I actually started with TSO from the beginning.
Also I got this message in Tartarus7, is that important?
