Trap Snag in Tomb
I'm going through all my characters in progress and finishing them before upgrading to the newer version of DCSS.
I see there has been a proliferation of enchanter background characters lately in this forum, so I will complete this guy before upgrading the game because I want to demonstrate some of the things possible with this race / background.
I was going to post him in some type of chronology, but have just hit a snag in progress...
I'm currently in the process of clearing the Tomb of Ancients (because it is so easy with this guy) and I want to "all rune" him.
Perhaps one of you experts can come up with a better plan than what I have thought of, so far, below.
b = Me (in bat form)
' = door
^ = trap
# = wall
. = floor
> = downstairs
- Code:

There are no monsters in sight!
I'm on Level 1 of the Tomb, having cleared everything - in the normal fashion (not teleporting / busting through walls, etc).
The first two traps (at door and next beyond it) are Zot ones, and the last is a blade trap.
So you can see that I can't enter the room and have access to the downstairs unless I step / fly over the first Zot trap, in the least.
Blinking might be an option, but with no control allowed, I don't want to chance it.
Teleport (randomly) to another stairs, within the complex might be possible, but there is no safe place to retreat if I get into trouble.
I could memorize Lee's Rapid Deconstruction and blow holes to my destination, but would prefer not to. I have not used any spells that do any type of direct damage to monsters so far this game, and am enjoying the conduct.
Any bright ideas?
