DrEE - How to kill TRJ

Tomb was easy, slime won't be. I might be able to use LCS but I think the summons will get in the way after one shot, and shatter won't be effective. I have some training in fire magic and conjurations, but not very much. There's a lot of books lying around so I just need some options. I have Pan, the Hells, and Zot remaining to get some other spell online.

I'd spam this a lot. Used a Wand of Draining on TRJ with a MiFi, took me about 6 shots to finish him.

LRD works on the treasure vault walls so you can consider that.. but take care not to break the walls and risk the loot being eaten up :)

I think opening with LCS & using Bolt of Draining to finish (more LCS when you get a clear shot) would probably be effective. Train up some more Conj & you should have good spellpower for both.

I'm currently playing an Earth Elementalist, and wrote how I killed it.
However, when reviewing my post I see that you do not have the earth magic spells I used to do so.
So then, considering what you have, I would suggest the following...

- Clear out the level of all slime monsters.
- Lure The Royal Jelly into the central complex.
- Drink a potion of speed.
- Cast haunt enough times to completely surround it, and all visible open squares with summons.
- Use Bolt of Draining on it until it dies.

You will likely have to cast Haunt whenever open squares appear, but shouldn't be a problem, as the Royal Jelly will be trying to cower and evade both your bolts and your summoned attacks.
Bolt of Draining can be fired through your ghosts with no problem.
Shatter is not something I would recommend there, as it will break the walls, which you don't want. You want to restrict the possible amount of slime / jelly spurts each time it takes damage.

I think I used LRD (as a weapon, not a digger) and buffer summons last time I did it with an EE.
I am sure I played flawflessly. This was an utmost unfair death. -- gorbeh

I've killed TRJ with iron shot and summon butterflies, after first circling the outside to clear out the other jellies, and then fighting him in the center corridor. The butterflies reduce how many other jellies, etc, he can spit out by filling up spaces. I don't know how reliable that is, though. It went really smoothly, but I haven't done it very often so for all I know I got lucky.
