CIP - DDBe, anyone else think vampiric axes are overpowered?
Haven't been around here in awhile.
Anyway, this guy shows some potential. I've got three runes already, and I'm trying to decide whether I'm ready to go after the Orb.
And to explain the thread title, I got insanely lucky and found a scroll of acquirement very early on. Asked for a weapon, got a dwarven battleax of vampiricism and been on easy street ever since.
The combination of heavy armour, high damage potential, arc-swing attack and vampiricism has made it so that, as soon as I get up in the ennemy's face, it's game over for him (especially if I'm 'serking). The only hairy moment I remember was being pelted with arrows and spells from different directions in Halls:3, had to summon some allies as living shields.
Will keep you posted.

And to explain the thread title, I got insanely lucky and found a scroll of acquirement very early on. Asked for a weapon, got a dwarven battleax of vampiricism and been on easy street ever since.
The combination of heavy armour, high damage potential, arc-swing attack and vampiricism has made it so that, as soon as I get up in the ennemy's face, it's game over for him (especially if I'm 'serking). The only hairy moment I remember was being pelted with arrows and spells from different directions in Halls:3, had to summon some allies as living shields.
