There were no monsters in sight!

Highlights :

1) Finding the amulet, the octopus king ring & the cloak early was nice.

2) Dragging Mennas out of Crypt 1 into Vault 3, spending 2 entire legendary decks of destruction on him without success, than remembering something I read here about LRD. Trip to the stash to learn the spell and to grab a potion of magic. Destroying him with shrapnel from the walls was most satisfying.

3) Drawing shuffle from an u/i deck of wonders at the end of Spider Nest. Mmmmm, my Dex is now 9... That doesn't help EV now does it ?

4) Caught TRJ sleeping but stabbing wasn't high enough to finish the job. Needless to say it wasn't looking good after the hit. Blinked away, danced for a few turns searching for an opening through the swarm of acid blobs, azure jellies and deaths oozes that were coming for me, saw one and drew from a DoD. The spark card, to my surprise, finished the job. That was lucky.

5) First time I do Tomb. Silence is your friend. Shatter is your friend. Paradox ?

6) Kiling Boris in Tomb 1. Killing Boris in Tom 2, to be sure and for good measure.

7) Before exiting, noticed an u/i plain deck in my inventory : the last gift from Nemelex. "Oh, what the hell" , I thought, "let's see..." Drew one : Trowel card. Best statement ever ! Man, what are the odds ?

Re: Third win_SpEn of Nemelex

Congrats on the win. Have you used "Peek at Two"? I read it allows to safely identify most decks.

Re: Third win_SpEn of Nemelex

No, I always use draw one. That's why 3) happened. The safe way is to peek at 2, for sure, but you lose a card that way. Also, I think you gain more piety when you blind draw (...but the main reason I do it is for the fun factor : ) If i'm in trouble, I sometimes triple draw, but it's rare. I used stack 5 on changes & wonder deck, mostly for the Helix or goodie card (EXP).

I see, your goal was not to play the most effectively but to have some fun. That's understandable :)

Yeah, I don't think I'm a very efficient player. Too noob anyway to pretend ; )

Re: Third win_SpEn of Nemelex

stacking decks of wonder also allows you to keep around alchemist cards an alchemist card from a legendary deck might cost you some gold but with high evo/piety it's like borg whitout the hp loss.

Re: Third win_SpEn of Nemelex

That's also how I killed Mennas with my SpEn. I worshipped Ash though so I could easily hit him off screen without worrying whether or not he was in LRD range. It's definitely a fun way to kill him.

I want to play a Nemelex character really bad though. Gotta get 13 for the Jester fun.

The proper way to handle TRJ with Nemelex is drowning him with a deck of dungeons.
