YASD - oh, so *that's* how it's going to kill me
rolled up a hill orc fighter that i had originally planned on worshiping TSO, but after finding +2 gloves i went with chei because i am obsessed with turning maxed out armour into artefacts. i got a +2 helmet of intelligence too. everything was going great, i had good resistances, and had just slouched nessos into the grave, when erolcha banished me almost instantly. "oh," i thought, "so that's how it's going to kill me." and i was right, although i didn't hold back with consumables all game and especially in the abyss, i couldn't escape (and refused to convert). i guess the +5 strength might have been a better ring than SInv, no real guarantee, though. i think this just hurts because i don't think i could have played it any better, instead of the usual deaths where i make some blunder.
