btw darts were actually more usefull in the end game to get the attention of a monster (high sthealth can be annoying sometimes) an to kill escaping dragons

I must admit I'm kinda surprised you feel that way. I would have expected pretty much the exact opposite reaction upon successfully completing dungeon crawl...

In any event, I feel obligated to tell you that, after your first win, the game becomes 50% easier, and the second win will often happen within 10-20 games, assuming you use the same build and just try for one extra rune.

That is a nice combo to have your first win with.

So far I have only managed to do so with the "default" ones

You'd like to think this was over. That you'll never have to play Crawl again. But you are mistaken.

You will quit for a time. You will try to find pleasure in other games. But their challenges will grow stale in your mind over time. The hunger for misery will grow anew within you. You will be back - It is inevitable. It may be weeks, months, or more... But Crawl's hold on you is tighter than a tentacled monstrosity. It sits in the very core of your being.
