So, I realized that Omega (my offline CIP multi-zig raider . . . as cool as it is . . . is still stuck strictly offline. Which both raises questions of possible cheating and makes it much harder to share. .. especially since I'm not recording.

He's still alive and kicking on the Crawl SZ server. Also? More awesomely? I've been starting an unrandart collection. Thanks to the deck of dungeons I've even got a neat little statue blocking the entryway (blink required) and vitrified the level so it's all glass. It's (IMO) pretty cool looking

. Thusfar I've got 39 unrandarts (IIRC) in my museum.

15 runes goes without saying. But at this point, 5 zigs entered, 5 zigs completed. I've technically found a 6th (in the main dungeon) but 8k+gp is pretty pricey and so i probably wont go there unless i get a lot of cash down the road.

So, long time no update, but gotta bump for this

. I just cleared out my 7th Ziggurat, and on the way I managed to find a deck of wonders. . . and shuffled myself.

NOTE TO FUTURE PLAYERS: IF YOU USUALLY HIT 'v' TO CHANNEL, BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WHEN MESSING WITH A DECK!!!!

Anyway, before i knew what i'd done I'd shuffled myself. And this was on Zig:~17ish. My strength is 35+. . . my INT ~20 and DEX my new dump-stat. Well wouldn't you know it? I can STILL cast firestorm at just 2% fail

. So I buckled down and went on to clear out the rest of the Zig. I also picked up the staff of wucad-mu which is always a wonderful find.

Lichform allows to almost ignore Int, I remember once I was casting Fire Storm at about 22 Int also while having about 9 points of "rotted" Int and being neglected to cure it with potion of curing.

Correct. Going from Int 20 to Int 30 is better than having an extra Fire ring for Fire Storm.

Just to clarify, a spell enhancer is not strictly equal to 10 points of intelligence where spellpower is concerned, but rather to a 50% increase in intelligence.

By the sounds of it Mankeli, Sandman, Siegurt and BlackSheep *all* seem to know exactly what's going on with INT value

so I won't go into it any further. Yes, I'd like to get my INT back; and as I mentioned in my post the reason this Zig was challenging swas precisely because I was using 'gimped' firestorms instead of the real full-power versions. Things that normally died in 2-3 casts were taking as many as 7-8, which gave them much more time to mass summon, surround, etc. This in turn obligated ME to blink more, hide more, and generally do things that let fights drag on long enough to be more dangerous and require much more extensive channeling.

Of course, it's not over yet. Depending on the luck of the RNG, I might well find myself stuck with these stats for quite a while. Or worse - shuffle my dex to my INT and drop down another point or two.
