Why not tell us about the game a little? What were the hardest parts and what parts were the most fun? With such an unusual and amazing character like this, you'll inevitably make some of us curious :o

It is difficult to get started. Slowly build piety towards Brothers in Arms and then use it as often as it is required. A nice weapon is important. Training shields is crucial. I put my skill points toward Dex, to get as much Dodging bonus as possible. Rings of protection and shields of protection or reflection work quite well.

Once you get a collection of rings it gets much easier. I've had a similar build with Okawaru, but it is easier to take off with Trog.

In the end I just Tabbed my way through Pan and Hells. Antimagic is better than Holy IMO, especially for the bosses.

The hardest part is the beginning, before you get the benefits of religion, but it's fun all the way. Surprisingly Octopodes are quite good in melee, constriction paired with Polearms is very nice as well.

Having pretty much done this same run except with with OpFi and even more slaying, I was going to write this but was afraid I'd come out as an asshole :D. So, thank you, sir.

And congrats on the win, starless. With enough wins like these maybe people will, at some point, understand that Octopode melee's are really, really far from impossible. They are actually pretty fun and should be given a chance to shine :P.

To put the numbers in context, for a Trishula to catch up to a Bardiche in damage output at maxed out Polearms/Fighting, you need approximately +10 slaying from rings. +25 slaying means "other races would need so much +Dam artifacts to catch up in melee weapon damage" (forms and UC is another matter entirely).

If one of the rings of Regen was the ring of Vitality instead, I would have jumped out my apartment's window. Gratz, all I can say, I love it and I envy your ascension! :)
