YAVP: 15-(grey)DrMo (Yred->Ash) - my 1st 15er

Finally a survivor! Took me long enough.
So, yuppie!, just survived my first 15 rune game.

The basic idea was make something that can smash without it getting smashed. But really I had a very vague idea of what to do. I wanted to make a ass kicking UC warrior with buffs. Never played a draconian before. They are strong! The lack of GDR scared me at times but ev eventually got to safer levels.

I came past a Yred altar and decided 'why the hell not?'. Ok god to take and dump later (it wouldn't have worked out between us </3 ). Switched to Ash to see what's so good about his gimmick and eventually dump him too. But whoa! Ash gives awesome support. So i kept.

Highlights:
- Having a permanent profane servitor ally(or 3-4) with you at D:15 is a bit OP, a bit like having mega bully buddies that b*tchslap everything into oblivion. The only setback was that it was like playing doom3(can't see s**t).

-So this one time, at the spider nest, I was with my personal horde of undead. Walking around like I own the place, pwning everything that comes into a 10 square radius of me. And then I come to a pack of emperor scorpions guarding the rune. I'm like "aww how cute, it wants me to smush it with my boot". And then, "why is it suddenly brighter? Oh, the profane servitor is dead. ... WHY IS HE DEAD?" . At this point, the game should have ended, but lady luck shined down upon me and ... well "56530 | Spider:5 | HP: 1/179 [emperor scorpion (15)]". 2 blink scrolls, 1 recall and problem solved.

-Spent a lot of time in the Abyss. I love the place! It's totally trippin. I even went down there with the orb just for sh*ts n giggles. I was curious about a 'secret of the abyss' rumor i read somewhere round the internet. Going down there with the orb wasn't the key, i guess...

-Then I started studying for shatter. Killer spell! I wouldn't had made it without it.

-Wandered a lot throughout this game. Tried stabbing, nope. Tried bladehands, not good enough. Tried dragonform, you're joking right? Tried quickblades, not it either. Considered staves paired with my staff of earth, but no. Killed a daeva and there you have it, folks - an eudemon blade. That was good enough for me. Slap on a rMut necklace and off you go scumming the Abyss.

-Found about 2 useful shields for the entire game.
-Got the wild magic mutation, which made things a lot better.
-Tomb was rather fun. Of course LRD digging got me through. Beat the paper bags, cast mass abjuration, grab the rune, get out. Simple as that. If you have necromutation that is ... if you don't ... well, then you're pretty much screwed. Can't help ya.

Tried dragonform, you're joking right?

Your Str was rather low to really take advantage of dragon form melee. Hmm, makes me want to play a Dr* of Chei at some point.

Dragon form with like 10 str significantly outdamages any weapon in the game. I don't know how you can be disappointed by it. It deals approximately twice as much damage to brimstone fiends as your eudemon blade.

that is true, yes
wand got me through whenever the need arose

I had statue form that suited my needs better than dragform. It's not just about damage, after all.
