Can I beat an Ice Dragon?

So I am in the ice cave as a fire elementalist (the one with lots of ice beasts )

Sadly, there is a big ice dragon between me and the second mass of loot. I can either run (boo) or try to conjure flame, sticky fire, and then blast with my wand of fire until one of us dies (safe).

Since I am really tired and not used to this version I thought I'd ask the forums.

Also if you want to make some general comments as well I'd not mind. I have no other spellbooks, but I do have a staff of conjuring and an orb of energy back in my stash.

What do you have to lose?

Put down 2~3 conjure flames in a noarrow corridor to 'block' one breath attack. Spam wand of fire before it gets to melee range, then sticky flame and continue wand spam. Worth a try I'd say.

I agree with Psieye. Your biggest danger is ice breath, and conjure flame both blocks it and provides a powerful source of damage against the dragon if it walks through it. If you can keep laying down conjure flames defensively and use your wand whenever you have a turn that doesn't need to be spent on defense, you should be okay. If it gets to melee range with you, isn't standing in fire, and has > 50% health, you probably need to run.

Er, when I say "run away", I mean escape in some way that doesn't allow you to be repeatedly hit with ice breath: blink, teleport, mb invis . . .
