YASD - DDNe Makhleb

Her name was Painem5. Very strong DDNe. Level 27. Zot 5. Was too DAMN reckless. Got killed too easily by Orb Guardian.

I had another YASD DDNe Makhleb, before Painem5. At that time, I was trying out Makhleb's abilities (I wasn't too familiar with him). I summoned a Greater Servant, not knowing that I really should increase my Invocation first. So, an Executioner appeared. It was hostile. I was like, "DANG! I'm screwed!" I tried to keep my head sane, and I summoned another Greater Servant. A Green Death appeared, friendly, but useless since the Executioner just killed it easily. I was "DANG! Now I'm REALLY screwed!" And yes, the hastened Executioner ended my adventure afterwards.

This is weird, I was just coming on to the board to ask about this exact build.

Tell me, did you go Kiku and then Makhleb, or just straight to Makhleb? What do you recommend? I have my DDNe at the temple now and want some advice before I pick a god.

I have a +2 whip of venom and a whip of draining, and would like eventually to get a demon whip of pain, I think.

Interesting character. I don't think I've ever seen a DDNe with that combination of spells - Haunt, LCS, Fire Storm(!), and Controlled Blink. Did you never find Revivification? That's the go-to Necro spell in Zot 5.

I went straight to Makhleb. :) I never tried Kiku with DD. Actually, I wanted to change to Sif Muna for Channel Energy (since I used Firestorm aggressively), but then I decided to spend EXP on Evocation and use Crystal Ball instead.

DDNe Makhleb is powerful enough, I think. No need to worship Kiku first before Makhleb, unless you want to try something cool.

Thanks for the advice. I will try using Revivification next time. :) The Tomb helped me so much. I just went crazy in it with Firestorm + Necromutation. :D

Yeah, if I had Revivification, that damn Orb Guardian wouldn't be able to kill me. :(

I won with a DDNe a few times. I prefer Chei over Makhleb, but I'd recommend Makhleb to inexperienced players.

Yeah, I think Makhleb is good for beginner only. My DDNe almost never used Makhleb's abilities anymore at lategame. :)
