We had this guy in IRC who wouldn't stop talking about how hard FeMo*Chei is. Obviously I couldn't resist. It took a few tries, and yes, the combo is horrid, but here's my first presentable one!

By a great stroke of luck, Cheibriados wasn't in the Temple, and divine self-flagellation could wait for a bit. By the time I converted, I was strong enough to actually kill monsters, so this FeMo of Cheibriados didn't meet the same sad ending as his predecessors. I was mainly raising Unarmed Combat and Dodging with a bit of Fighting when I found the Book of Spatial Translocations in D:10. Blink, Shroud of Golubria and Control Teleport are the spells I blame my continued survival on. In Lair, I found the Book of the Warp and the Book of Necromancy, and am now a proficient Warper with Regeneration to back his great survivability (to an extent, with these HP) up! With Phase Shift, the felid size bonus and Cheibriados dexterity, I have 47 EV.
I found the Book of the Earth and a randart earth book on Lair:8, so now I'm training for Statue Form. That should help the HP and AC issue a bit. Probably I'll get Iron Shot some time in the near future, too, maybe after Statue Form, Unarmed Combat 20 and Fighting 15.

The deaths were all really really stupid and avoidable.
1) Getting hit by one spore, then blinking into the next.
2) Running up to a crimson imp with a crossbow at 13 HP, despite having healing.
3) About half a dozen consecutive mistakes involving wasting a lot of MP around a hydra and miscasting cBlink at 10% failure chance as the last straw.

I think MuCK*Xom and MuMo*Chei (of the former I have several high-level splats and one cleared Zot, of the latter I have one XL 10 death or so) are both considerably worse. This combo is definitely top 5, though.

Oh yes, this combo sucks and I won't recommend attempting it.
Though it is fun once you get it started (with something like statue form/blade hands).

At least until Zot, where I got splatted horribly. :-(

I got Statue Form and Iron Shot up and running, enhanced my repertoire of support spells, and killed a lot of dudes. I also maxed Fighting out as soon as possible - however, a level 27 Felid with 27 Fighting still only has 150 HP, and barely 200 in Statue Form!
Notes:
As a new player, I really hated stone giants. I had violent daydreams about stone giants. As I became better, I learned to deal with them, and they became tolerable big chunks of exp. Playing a really slow Felid had rekindled my hate for stone giants and it is back in new, burning dimensions. Also, yaktaur captains are horrible.
Not a single one of my deaths is excusable. Two of them aren't even due to tactical mistakes, but me pressing the wrong keys despite having mentally made the right decisions.
I had a really call on Zot:5. Down to single-digit HP, I was left spamming heal wounds. Finally I had a free turn to quaff !magic. I blinked up into the edge of the orb chamber, aligned myself in the direction of a staircase and blinked again. I was left 3 squares from the staircase, with an ancient lich hard on my heels at the edge of LoS. I don't know if he was hasted, but I read fog and crawled to the staircase, only to find him right next to me when I finally reached it. I Stepped from Time and finally escaped.
The ascent threw a ton of 1s and pan lords at me. Luckily, this char was pretty strong by this time, so I was never in too bad circumstances. Autoexploring into a Hell Sentinel and instantly being hellfired and getting an Iron Shot to the face was fun though.
I think that, taking a break from Minotaurs and other high-HP species and instead playing a Felid, I've relearned a lot of tactics I wasn't needing in my last few games

I absolutely detest felids, but somehow that MuMo*chei sounds tempting. In any case, grats on the win

It's a terrible start but once you're at the point with controlled blink, regen, and statue form I could almost see it working! Some of my favorite spells there, regeneration in particular.
