YAVP TeGl of Okawaru

After sacrificing hundreds of Tengu to stupidity and heaps of mistakes and generally not using all my resources, I finally managed to escape with one of them.

I wanted to play something using staves and picked a Tengu since they seemed to have good aptitudes for a lightly armored fighter. I picked gladiator to start out with an early quarterstaff. The throwing nets are great for early ogres/uniques.

For most of the dead Tengus I picked Ashenzari (since he/she seems a fun god) but I found an altar to Okawaru on D:3 so I went with that and Heroism/Finesse saved me from some tough spots and mistakes. I didn't get a whole lot of useful gifts, though the SInv hat came at a good spot before I went to clear the Elven Halls.

Since I had perma flight (which was pretty damn nice in general) I decided to go look for the abyssal rune as I've never gotten that one before and with my Tengu it ended up being pretty easy though it took quite some time to find a gate after picking up the rune (3300 turns).
