CiP: SpEn of Ash - Earth+monster sense+ball=Dang

I've never taken a spriggan this far before, but I must say that it's extremely fun. I haven't been too concerned in any branch ends, leaning on high speed, monster sense, earth magic and my crystal ball of energy (best item ever).

Scariest moment actually came in shoals when a bunch of javelineers got too close for comfort and forced me to cblink the hell out of there, leaving only 20hp. That was a while ago though, and things are comfortable so long as I remember to run like a little girl the moment it feels like I won't crush.

I'm looking for a little advice on how to progress skills and spells from this point. I've been thinking of moving skill from hexes to something else, but then again I've recently found the darkness spell. The thought of sneaking up on a Pan lord and one shotting him IN THE FACE is very, very tempting. The only thing that worries me is that maybe it's stupid.

I was very tempted to stab Khufu too, but a chorus of helpful spectators screaming "NOOOO!" brought me back to some semblance of reason.

Cursing one doesn't have any effect on skills, and cursing 2 is too restrictive for my current jewellery options. I recently started branching into necro and transmutation to go go spriggan lich form!, so it might be worth restricting myself to get that functional.

It's a bit tricky atm, as my resistances stink.

Why wear a ring of protection from magic? Spriggans are practically immune to magic naturally. Ok, not from level 1, but by level 25, you're beyond ever being enchanted really. Spriggans get 7 MR per level, the highest in the game (maybe tied? not sure). At level 25, a human would have 75 MR and you have 175...the human could wear two rings of MR and still be more vulnerable than you are.

You're at "incredibly" resistant. Your goal is to get to "extraordinarily" most of the time. That should resist everything. Maybe do incredibly for elf:5, but I don't think you need that even.
