So, this is just my second win, and the first one with a melee build (the other win was a SpVM). An early Book of the Warp gave me Phase Shift (which is quite awesome), and Controlled Blink (you probably know that one). On Lair:7 I acquired a weapon, and got this awesome +10,+11 halberd "Monuyl". OK, -4 Str is not so awesome, but +10/+11 and Slay Dragon is (especially in Zot). I used it the entire game (except for hydras, obv.).

The game was pretty straight forward. Found the first scroll of blinking on D:14 IIRC, and did not find a single good cloak. I successfully managed not to get mutated heavilly as usually in my games; I slouched all Orb of Fires (Eat this, filthy little bastards!). I think I played good, except in the end when I somehow did not notice a tormentor while fleeing from a pan lord and got down to 8 HP. Probably I should have just kill the pan lord instead of running (sort of) away, but I was on low health all the time while ascending. Visited one trove, but it was full of crap. I invested in Necromancy and M&F later in the game, but it was not worth is (Dispersal was a better Dispel Undead for me this game, and I didn't use the hammers I carried around for rF+/rE).
