YAVP! The LORD is my shepherd!15 runes MfIE of Oka/TSO

After a long time crawling here's my first 15 runer.

All game: Ozocubus armour.
Early-game: Freeze!
Mid-game: Freeze, Trident, Hero, Finesse, Ring of +6 Protection + Shield of Protection
Late-game: Blessed Trishula, Angels
Extended-game: Blessed Trishula, (hasted) Angels, Haste

I didn't make much use of Ice Magic other than Ozocubus armour. Freeze and Throw Frost carried me through the early game until I developed polearms though. After Vault I made the TSO switch (first time I switched gods :)). Tomb was very scary. I can't imagine how to do Tomb:3 without 4 Angels soaking up the torment/pain.
After Tomb I went to Pan which was actually quite easy (thanks to TSO, I guess), only the named Lords were a real challenge. I needed several tries for Cerebov because he firestormed my Angels. The hell's were no challenge at all.

Conclusion: TSO rocks the late game. Endless piety = Endless Angels

first 15 runer i see with this robe, most people (including me) think it is pretty much crap :)

After Vault I made the TSO switch (first time I switched gods ). Tomb was very scary. I can't imagine how to do Tomb:3 without 4 Angels soaking up the torment/pain.


Worshipping Kiku is another popular way of dealing with Tomb. Curse aversion + Necromutation equals few problems with torment/pain, and he grants access to Dispel Undead as a bonus. In fact, of my characters who made it past Tomb, the Kiku worshipers had the easiest time of it.

I didn't find anything much better, and having some +strength is quite nice for carrying purposes. I would have switched for a robe of resistance anytime, but had no luck. The robe of the arch magi was of no use for me. The the only time I wore something else was a leather armour in iron hell to train for my ice dragon armour for ice hell(for which I was 1 strength point short, but it was my only source of rC, except a ring). I sincerely missed my +4 strength and used the robe of augmentation for the last to hells again ;) Nothing else than torment did much damage to me anyway. With Ocu..s armour and phase shift I had >30AC and 50EV.
