[Bloat] YAVP: AsFn of Gozag (3 runes, no resistances)

Would you fancy a game with no resistances? Play an Astral in Bloatcrawl! They are unable to gain any resistances. To compensate, they get clarity, see invisible and wings and their melee attacks reduce the MR of the target. They also have innate wizardry, but I don't think it works, because wizardry from items at least is broken in Bloatcrawl (staves or rings of wizardry have no effect). Fencers start with a rapier, the Fencer's Gloves and an amulet of acrobat. I never removed either of the latter two.

To stay true to the background, I decided to maximize riposte. So I decided to stick with long blades and put all stat raises to dex. A total of 2028 ripostes with great swords alone was the result. I dodged 6421 times.

I relied heavily on BVC and my +12 fustibalus of venom (from L:6). Airstrike and Death Channel were also workhorses. Call merchant was a disappointment every time. I tried to get better armour but to no avail. Luckily there was a normal food shop in the game so I didn't have to call one myself. Still, I used a staff of energy for hungerless spell casting most of the time.

Having no MR is brutal. No rPois in Spider, annoying. No rElec, manageable. No rF in Zot, absolutely terrifying. But it's quite doable with Gozag and bribe branch (I only bribed Zot (once on Zot:4 and 3 times on Zot:5) and Depths on my way up.)

So I won, but just barely. A vampire knight had a 97% chance of paralyzing me. Then when you get 3 of them at the same time:

I was surprised I only got banished once (from Elf:3, of course).

Zot:5 was indeed easy, thanks to Gozag's bribes.

Only one lava snake killed.
